Anna Sidonia Hirschler Linscheid (1874-1948) and her husband Gustav A. Linscheid (1875-1942) worked as General Conference Mennonite missionaries with the Southern and Northern Cheyenne (Oklahoma and Montana) 1900-1940. Their personal papers are at the Mennonite Library and Archives at Bethel College, North Newton, Kansas (MS.13). Among the papers is a large photo album that Anna compiled with a title embossed on the front cover “General Conference Mennonites Missions of the Cheyenne and Arapahoe Tribes of Oklahoma in pictures 1880-1935 compiled by Mrs. G. A. Linscheid, Canton, Okla. 1935.”
In 2018 the MLA had this album digitized. MLA volunteer Weldon Schloneger did the photography work.
The resulting digital photos are presented here in two galleries. The first one contains images of each page of the album. Each page contained more than one photo, so the second gallery contains the digital images of each individual photo.
